Evelyn (Schichtel) Meyer

(SCHICHTEL) Mrs. Evelyn F. Meyer (Schichtel), aged 96, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey. She is survived by her son, James H.; her sister, Marguerite Schichtel; sister-in-law, Esther Schichtel; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; loving friends, Sue and Dave Zeider, Shannon O'Hearn, Tom Flickenger and Maureen Harris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 26, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Grand Rapids. She will repose in church one hour prior to Mass. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers, West Mortuary, 585 Stocking NW where the Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:30 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Mary's Church Restoration Fund or Spectrum Health Hospice.
