Edna passed away Friday evening, February 13, 2009 at Friendship Village. She was born October 10, 1917 in Kalamazoo, one of two children to Raymond and Eleanor (Crowley) LeCraw. Edna was employed by the City of Kalamazoo in City Hall as a switchboard operator and at VanBochove Florist prior to getting married to Arthur Schuldt in 1939. She devoted her life to her family and raising her children, and enjoyed crafts, sewing and shuffleboard. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and also a member of St. Agnes Guild. Surviving are two children, Charlotte Schuldt of Colorado Springs, CO, and Steve (Diane) Schuldt of Kalamazoo; one grandchild, Michelle (Eugene) Erdos of Kalamazoo; and two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Nolan. Preceding her in death were her husband, Arthur H. Schuldt on October 12, 1991; her parents; and one brother, Edward LeCraw. Memorial services for Edna will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Monday and from 1-2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Friendship Village Health Center or West Michigan Cancer Center.
