David Allen Zuiderveen, age 67, of Hudsonville was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of July 19, 2024.

Born August 16, 1956, David followed in his father's footsteps as a builder. In 2000, a massive heart attack took away his ability to work, but in turn gave him a second chance to repent and fully commit his life to the Lord, becoming living proof that God uses broken vessels for His glory. David found passion in Prison Ministry through ResLife Church and led many hearts to the Savior through his bold testimony and a faith that was even bigger than the towering man he was.

David was joyfully greeted at Heaven's gates by his parents, Egbert and Alice (Landt) Zuiderveen, his brother Larry Zuiderveen, his great nephew Steven Zuiderveen, his late wife Kymberley Hampton and those from Prison Ministry he helped lead to Christ who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Julie VandePol Zuiderveen, his former wife and good friend Cindy Zuiderveen, his brother Ron (Irene) Zuiderveen and his sister Bev (Glen) Fraaza.

His legacy of faith lives on through his children Ryan (Tiffany) Garman, David (Tricia) Zuiderveen, Angie Forward, Carrie Boley, Michael (Taylor) Zuiderveen, Kaylor (Phil) Hibma and stepchildren Justin (Kayla) VandePol, Dana (Darren) Tigelaar, Joe (Mehr) VandePol, TJ (Jessica) Hampton, Jenni (Kevin) Fitzgerald and Shane (Megan) Hampton whom altogether blessed him with 30 beautiful grandchildren that he loved with all of his heart.

David cherished his large family, including many nieces and nephews, and all of the friends he gained throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by many.

Visitation will be held at Radiant Church, 8157 E DE Ave, Richland, MI 49083 on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 with a Celebration of Life immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to ResLife Prison Ministry, by mail at 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418, online at reslife.org/give/ by selecting "Other" and entering in the memo: Prison Ministry, or by texting RESGIVE to 94000.
