Obituary
David James Dreyer, aged 56, of Grandville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 13, 2007. He currently worked at Gentex and previously at Steelcase and Borgman Ford. David was a retired Grandville Fire Department volunteer. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially with his three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marlene Parente. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy; children, Bradley and Alissa Dreyer, Sara Dreyer; grandchildren, Allan Matthews, Ryleigh Dreyer, Morgan Dreyer; parents, Bob and Thelma Dreyer, Richard and Dorothy Parente; brothers and sisters, Al and Darlene Dreyer, Dan and Mary Dreyer, Vickey and Lee Kars, Bob Jr. and Dee Dreyer, Susan and Brian McDonald, Kathy and Brett Prince; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Martha Nipke and Mike Nipke, Beth and John Boon, Richard and Stacey Parente, Suzanne and Dale Scrivener, John and Carrie Parente, Janice Parente; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3939 Wilson Ave., Grandville, with Sandy Hines officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis Society. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. and also one hour prior to the service at the church in the McDuffy Room.
