Daniel Kolodziej

Kalamazoo resident Daniel Kolodziej, age 54, died suddenly Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at his home in Parkview Hills. He was born in Homewood, IL to Edwin and Sylvia Kolodziej and lived in Kalamazoo for the past ten years taking care of his mother. Dan attended Western Michigan University and graduated from the Ray-Vogue College of Design in Chicago. He spent many years employed in the creative departments of advertising agencies in Chicago, St. Louis, MO and St. Joseph, MI. His life reflected his creative talent and his love of the outdoors, particularly his paintings of Starved Rock State Park where he had hiked for the past 40 years. His kindness and infectious laugh will be forever remembered. He is survived by his aunt, Irene Fox; his brothers, Michael Kolodziej and Paul Kolodziej; nieces, Melissa Kolodziej and Hilary Kolodziej and nephew , Nathan Kolodziej.
