Burdina Zimmer

ZIMMER - Burdina Elva Zimmer, Dede, as she was known to family and friends, died on April 9th at the age of 84. Born in 1924, Dede was a long-standing member of The Eastern Stars. She and her husband of 64 years, Walter Jack Zimmer, lived and raised their two daughters in Grand Rapids before moving to Bellaire, MI. Dede passed peacefully surrounded by her husband, Jack and daughters, Karen Witzel and Kim Zimmer-Weary. She is also survived by sons-in-law, Robert C. Witzel and Allen C. Weary; grandchildren, Kelly (Witzel) and husband, Nathan Nascimento, Jamie (Witzel) and husband, Glen Harrington, Rachel, Max and Jake Weary, and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Nascimento and Jack Harrington. Dede was a loving and devoted wife and mother and we will miss your sparkling blue eyes and effervescent smile.
