Marilyn Hazlett

Marilyn Ruth Hazlett, age 80, of Holland, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at her home. She was born March 24, 1928, in Detroit, MI to Leander and Beatrice Rivard. Lyn was married to Nur William Hazlett, August 31, 1949. They moved to Holland in 1972. She was a devoted wife and homemaker to seven children.

Lyn is survived by her husband Nur W. Hazlett and daughters, Karen (Richard) Kelly, Shelby Twp MI., Deborah Celli, Warren MI, Michelle (Michael) Warvel, Holland MI, Yvonne (Michael) Johnson Holland MI, son’s Blu’ ( Joji) Rivard CA, Edward Hazlett (Christopher) Holland MI, Paul Hazlett, AZ; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by son Keith Paul and sisters, Natalie Rivard, Jane Laramie and Betty Duke.

Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes, Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Research or Hospice of Holland.
