Daniel H. Rathmann III

Daniel H. Rathmann III, 75, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Danny was born on December 2, 1932 in Battle Creek. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Danny worked for the Calhoun County Road Commission before going to work for Rieth-Riley Construction Company where he retired from in 1993. On April 18, 1952 he married Patricia Quinn, she preceded him in death on June 16, 1993. He is survived by his children, Terrance A. (Carolyn) Rathmann of Battle Creek, Connie S. Rose of Hastings, Kathy A. (Mark) Irish of Battle Creek, and Kim Stutz of Nashville, twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Danny was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law and two grandsons. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Sarcoma Foundation of America.
