Daisy Livingston

Daisy Ellen Livingston, 1932-2007. Daisy Ellen Livingston, 75, passed away peacefully Monday, July 30, 2007, in Connecticut, surrounded by her family, after a very special visit from her Van Pelt niece and nephews who, with thanks to God, were able to travel from Michigan. Born April 16, 1932, in Traverse City, Michigan, daughter of the late William Van Pelt and Mary Van Pelt, she spent her elementary school years in Fife Lake, Michigan. She graduated from Byron Center High School and from Blodgett Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Michigan. Daisy Ellen worked as a Registered Nurse for the State of Connecticut until her retirement. It was her passion to share with her children and grandchildren her love of God and her fondness of books, travel, singing, gardening, sewing, music, art, nature, and cooking. Daisy Ellen leaves her devoted children, Mary Ellen Livingston of Waianae, HI, Barbara Ann and Mark Seigel of Lakewood, NJ, Bette Jean Livingston of Preston, CT, Valerie Mae and Michael LaFleur of Preston, CT, Robert Earl and Rina Livingston of Norwich, CT, and Lorie Van Pelt and David L'Etoile of Voluntown, CT; her treasured grandchildren, Martin and Naomi Seigel of NJ, Matthew, Krysta, and Nicole Brown of Missouri and Eric Livingston of Preston, CT, Timothy and Ryan LaFleur of Preston, CT, Debbra and Christopher Livingston of Norwich, CT, and Andrew, Bryan and Hannah L'Etoile of Voluntown, CT; her beloved siblings, Mary Cerise and Les Bartholomew of Arkansas, Frank and Audrey Van Pelt, Ethel Mae and Don Chase, and Nancy Van Pelt of Michigan; and many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her younger brother and his wife, William and Mary Kay Van Pelt of MI, her twin sister, Eleanor Levall of Jewett City, CT, and her former husband, Robert Eugene Livingston of Voluntown, CT. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Preston City Congregational Church, 321 Route 164, Preston, Connecticut. Arrangements by Labenski Funeral Home of Norwich, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by Preston City Congregational Church or St. James Episcopal Church, 95 Route 2A, Preston, Connecticut.
